Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility: LocaCuisines Is Committed to Preserving Cultural Heritage

At Locacuisines, our CSR approach goes beyond simply reducing our environmental impact or helping our customers find more sustainable solutions. It is also part of our commitment to helping preserve what makes our regions so rich: their heritage.

It was with this in mind that we became members of the Fondation du Patrimoine in 2025. This commitment marks a new phase in our philanthropy policy and reflects our desire to take concrete action to preserve French heritage, whether local or national.

Philanthropy at the Heart of Our CSR Approach

Corporate philanthropy is a powerful tool for companies that want to have a positive impact on their communities. Beyond financial support, it allows companies to participate in meaningful projects, promote their values, and contribute to local development.

The Fondation du Patrimoine, France’s leading private organization dedicated to heritage preservation, supports thousands of restoration and preservation projects across the country each year. Its work helps protect sites steeped in history while contributing to the regions’ appeal and vitality. This vision is fully aligned with the values of responsibility, transmission, andcommunity roots championed by LocaCuisines.

Support for the Condom Cloister Following the Fire in June 2026

‍

On June 12, 2026, a violent fire struck the cloister of the episcopal city of Condom, in the Gers department. A significant portion of this 16th-century building was severely damaged, while a large part of the municipal media library’s heritage collection was destroyed or heavily damaged. More than 4,300 rare books, some of which dated back to the 16th and 17th centuries, were affected by the fire.

Less than 150 kilometers from our Lespinasse site, this disaster deeply moved our teams. Because this is our region, our history, and our shared heritage, it seemed only natural for us to do our part by joining the outpouring of solidarity aimed at its restoration.

Through the Fondation du Patrimoine, we sought to support the restoration of this iconic monument in the Gers and help ensure that this heritage is passed on to future generations.

Consistency in Our Philanthropic Efforts

This commitment builds on the philanthropic initiatives LocaCuisines has already undertaken.

‍

In particular, we took part in the outpouring of solidarity that followed the fire at Notre-Dame de Paris. Like many French people, we were deeply moved by the partial destruction of this symbol of our national heritage and wanted to contribute to its reconstruction.

Today, the support provided to the cloister in Condom takes on a special significance. It serves as a reminder that heritage preservation is not limited to the most famous monuments. Local buildings, local archives, and the places that shape a region’s identity also deserve to be protected.
