CONTAINWATT: A Solar-Powered, More Sustainable Kitchen

A New Way to Supply Professional Kitchens

CONTAINWATT is an innovative energy solution that powers modular kitchens using solar energy. Designed to integrate directly into shipping containers or kitchen modules, this system generates local, renewable electricity that can be used immediately on-site.

The goal is simple: to enable farmers to reduce their dependence on the traditional power grid while increasing their energy self-sufficiency.

A solar solution tailored to the needs of both temporary and permanent kitchens

Energy Production, Storage, and Optimized Use

The CONTAINWATT version is based on a 15 kWp solar system capable of generating electricity directly on site.

Energy can be:

  • used immediately by kitchen appliances,
  • stored in a 10-kWh battery for later use.

An 8 kVA inverter ensures optimal power conversion and distribution to guarantee the smooth operation of professional equipment.

Measurable environmental performance

Under favorable conditions, particularly during the summer, CONTAINWATT can generate an average of 2.2 MWh of energy.

This local production significantly reduces the carbon footprint:

  • up to 250 kg of CO₂ avoided compared to a conventional power supply,
  • Up to 1.8 metric tons of CO₂ avoided compared to a generator.

CONTAINWATT EZ: The Plug-and-Play Solution for Rapid Deployments

A solution tailored to the needs of event and fast-food kitchens

CONTAINWATT EZ is a simplified version designed for installations that require speed and flexibility. It integrates easily into a container or kitchen module and operates in plug-and-play mode. We’ve named this system Quick&Sun.

This solution is based on:

  • 2.5 kWp of solar power generation,
  • a 2.4 kVA inverter,
  • direct use of energy, without intermediate storage.

Quick and easy setup

Thanks to its optimized design, CONTAINWATT EZ allows for quick installation and nearly immediate commissioning, making it ideal for temporary kitchens, events, or short-term operations.

A practical way for customers to reduce their carbon footprint

Direct Benefits for Kitchen Operators

Integrating CONTAINWATT into a modular kitchen offers customers several tangible benefits:

  • immediate reduction in the carbon footprint,
  • reducing dependence on fossil fuels,
  • improvement in the site's overall energy efficiency,
  • Promoting CSR commitments to users and partners.

An affordable solution through leasing

CONTAINWATT is available as a rental solution, allowing each customer to access advanced technology without a significant investment.

This approach makes the energy transition:

  • more flexible,
  • more accessible,
  • and designed to meet the temporary or seasonal needs of professional kitchens.

This allows customers to implement a high-performance solution for only as long as their modular kitchen project requires.

An Innovation for More Sustainable Kitchens

A Practical Approach to the Energy Transition

CONTAINWATT exemplifies a major shift in the commercial kitchen industry: the ability to generate and consume cleaner energy directly on-site.

By combining solar energy, modularity, and flexibility of use, this solution is helping to transform traditional energy models.

Toward More Self-Sufficient and Responsible Kitchens

Thanks to these solutions, modular kitchens are becoming more self-sufficient, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly.

Locally generated energy is becoming a concrete tool for reducing carbon footprints and improving CSR performance.
